GeMs is the Gemini MultiConjugated Adaptive Optics System. This facility instrument delivers a uniform, diffractionlimited
image quality at nearinfrared (NIR) wavelengths over an extended FoV or more than 1 arcmin across.
This corrected beam then feeds either Flamingos 2 or GSAOI, the new generation of instruments
to be commissioned at Cerro Pachon.
