Publically Available Gemini Data

Data taken as part of instrument System Verification (SV) or for other engineering purposes (including the Demonstration Science programs) and that are deemed to be of scientific value are made public after an assessment period typically not longer than 2 months. You are encouraged to take these datasets and assess or use them yourself.

SV data packages are available for the following instruments:

SV data for these and other instruments can also be downloaded from the Gemini Science Archive by selecting "search for science data" under the "GSA queries" menu, selecting the required instrument, and then entering "SV" in the "Science Program" search field (making sure that "contains" rather than "matches" is selected for that field).

If you do download a data package, please send a brief e-mail with the data package name to svdata@gemini.edu so that we can log usage of the data and contact you if we subsequently discover any problems with these data. Any use of the data should include the usual Gemini acknowledgement.
