The Grillo version of the Observing Tool was publicly
released on 9 December 2004. Summarised below are the most significant changes
from the previous public release (Cherry) for off-site users:
Modified instrument components and iterators
Several changes to GNIRS component and GNIRS iterator: added acquisition
controls to iterator, fixed GNIRS cross dispersion bugs, updated IFU
details
Added Altair toggle to fix cass rotator (not compensating field
rotation) if desired
NIRI, Michelle, GMOS North and GMOS South filter updates (minor)
Added NIFS component and iterator (not complete)
Added support for non-sidereal targets
User interaction and user interface features
Added support for ultra-quick response to Target of Opportunity
observations (new ToO priority and "on hold" status)
Fixed bugs in changing WFS assignments
Added calibration checkbox for excluding observations from total time
summation
Updated setup time for all instruments, closer to reality
